Neurotoxins

Neurotoxins are botulinum a-derived and injected into muscle to smooth out expression lines. They are used to relax muscles which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In return, neurotoxins create a more youthful appearance. By the muscles being consistently relaxed, static fine lines start to reverse as well.
Generally, toxins last up to 3 months at a time.

Dermal Filler

Filler is hyaluronic acid (HA) which is naturally found in our skin. It helps pull in moisture and increases skin elasticity. It is injected into the dermal layer of the skin or the periosteum. HA helps fill facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features: restoring a smoother appearance.
The resulting contour is seen immediately and can last up to a year to two years depending on the type of filler chosen.

Lip Filler

Generally, lip filler lasts about 6 months.

Collagen Biostimulators

The two types of collagen biostimulators we carry are Sculptra and Radiesse.
Radiesse stimulates both collagen and elastin in the body to provide an immediate and long term result. it can be used to contour and lift the face as well as smooth wrinkles and folds.
Sculptra works by stimulating the natural replacement of lost collagen to help rebuild the skin structure. Sculptra works gradually over a series of treatments for natural, lifted results.

Microneedling

Microneedling treat scars, enlarged pores, wrinkles, acne, stretch marks, and overall texture of the skin.
Microneedling causes micro injuries to the skin which stimulates cellular turnover and collagen production. Three treatments are recommended spaced out with 4-6 weeks in between.
Chemical Peels
We love this type of anti-aging procedure!
Similar to microneedling, chemical peels also treat scars, enlarged pores, wrinkles, acne, stretch marks, and overall texture of the skin.

At Canvas Skin, we start with a complete facial analysis. We discuss specific features that make you YOU, what you love about yourself, any area that you want to enhance, and more. If you’ve never had tox, our experienced and educated providers will explain each option to you in order to make a collaborative decision! We always follow up with our new patients after 2 weeks to make sure you are satisfied with your treatment and happy with the results.

You can come with or without make up on. Either way, we are going to clean the areas that will be injected! When coming in for any type of filler, we would like to know any health conditions you may have, including auto-immune conditions such as thyroid disorder or rheumatoid arthritis. Refrain from any type of dental work 2 weeks before lip filler. This helps us to choose which filler is best for you! We recommend eating before treatment and staying hydrated as well.

For both tox and filler, avoid taking NSAIDS (Ibuprofen, Aleve, etc.) and drinking alcohol for 24-48 hours. No hats and no hard pressing on the areas that were treated. No lying down for at least 4 hours. We recommend not working out for 24 hours as well.
For filler, take an antihistamine or ice periodically for bruising and swelling. Continue to refrain from any dental work 2 weeks following filler.

Neurotoxins, such as Jeuveau, Botox, or Dysport have an average longevity of 3 months. Depending on the type of filler and where we inject it, it can last anywhere from 6 to 24 months.
